Technical Malfunction Issues
Multiple users report issues with the Dolphin Sigma, primarily related to operational failures, electrical malfunctions, and inconsistent performance, often despite basic troubleshooting efforts.
- Operational Failures: Users frequently experience the robot stopping after a short period of operation, with some noting that the red light activates, indicating a malfunction. This issue appears to occur intermittently, even when the device is clean and properly set up.
- Electrical Malfunctions: Several reports highlight instances where the robot turns on briefly before stopping, with users noting that the control panel may respond intermittently. The presence of a red light after initial operation suggests potential electrical faults.
- Inconsistent Performance: Users report that the robot sometimes operates correctly after pressing the control button but fails to do so consistently. This inconsistency indicates a possible underlying issue with the robot’s circuitry or sensors.
- Recurring Issues: Some users mention that these problems have persisted since the first year of use, indicating a potential design flaw or durability issue with the Dolphin Sigma.
Power and Charging Issues
Setup and Usage Issues
Users have reported issues with the Dolphin Sigma primarily related to track alignment, specifically the track coming off the roller, which requires resetting. This problem appears to be a common occurrence among users.
- Track Misalignment: A significant number of users have noted that the track frequently comes off the roller, necessitating a reset. This issue is prevalent and often occurs during operation, particularly when the robot encounters obstacles or uneven surfaces.
- Accessing the Tracks: Many users are unsure how to access the tracks for resetting purposes, indicating a lack of clear instructions in the user manual. This has led to frustration and delays in troubleshooting the problem.
- Common Scenarios: Users have observed that the track misalignment tends to happen more often in pools with irregular shapes or when the robot is navigating tight corners, suggesting that design or operational limitations may contribute to the issue.
- User Experiences: Some users have attempted various troubleshooting methods, such as manually adjusting the tracks or cleaning the rollers, but these efforts have not consistently resolved the issue, leading to repeated occurrences of track misalignment.

Box has power, sigma is in the water, filters are clean, green light is on, touch button, it turns blue.
The sigma blower comes on strong. It turns to the right a quarter turn, it turns to the left a quarter turn, the blower is running.
Then it stops. After a minute or so the red light comes on.
This is one year old and it did this the first year as well.
